The biggest earthquake in the UK for nearly 25 years has shaken homes across large parts of the country. People in Newcastle, Yorkshire, London, Cumbria, the Midlands, Norfolk and also parts of Wales, felt the tremor just before 0100 GMT.

A 48-year-old roofer has died after a horrific fall from scaffolding on a building site.
Martin Livingstone was airlifted to hospital on Monday after he fell about 15 metres at the building site in Burgess Hill.

The UK’s Health & Safety Executive (HSE), is warning employers to ensure that they have safe systems of work in place when working at height.
The warning follows the HSE’s prosecution of two companies based in Hertfordshire and Hackney after a worker suffered a serious head injury when he fell approximately 2.2 metres.
